It’s not every day that a local celebrity comes in to play dress-up with you, and it’s definitely not everyday that it’s someone as amazing as Cassie from The Bert Show. She came in to see us for a fitting for a Southern Celebrations Magazine shoot, for which we provided the wedding gown, the menswear, and the bridesmaid dress.
Cassie was so excited to play dress-up with us, and we couldn’t have had more fun with the bride-to-be for the day. But it turns out that Cassie had some anxiety going into her fitting. In her radio segment about her experience, Cassie talked about a fear that a lot of plus-size brides experience: that there wouldn’t be any dresses her size for her to wear for the shoot. We hear this from so many brides who come through our doors, and Cassie said it in such a vulnerable and articulate way on the show. So many women feel this way, but our favorite thing is to show them just how many gowns there are for them to experience. Size inclusiveness is one of the most important things to us; we believe that plus-size brides should have the same dress shopping experience as every other bride. Every bride deserves a once-in-a-lifetime bridal shopping experience. As Cassie said, “Can I just be a normal person walking into the situation, like everyone else, and just be like, ‘I’m here! Give me some dresses!’” Since we have more than 50 plus-size gowns in store, we can do exactly that! Music to our ears was hearing Cassie say, “Every single gown that I loved, I got to try on.” That is what the Wedding Angels Experience is all about!
We were also thrilled to style the groom in a Michael Kors tux, and the bridesmaid in a Hayley Paige Occasions dress. We can’t get enough of these gorgeous images!
