Our real bride Stacy and her sweet husband wed in a romantic ceremony this past year. Keep reading for more on her Wedding Angels experience and how she paid tribute to her mom in her ceremony. We are so happy for the new Mrs. Sutton!
Shane and I met online! I was toward the end of the online membership and Shane just signed up. I can't remember if he emailed me first or if I did but we started talking Labor Day weekend 2012. We finally met about 2 weeks later and I knew the moment I met him he was someone special! He has introduced me to hiking, camping, caving, skiing and so much more.
In November 2016, the weekend after Thanksgiving, we went to Key West to spend the weekend with his parents. Saturday morning we walked to the "Southernmost Point in the Continental US" and were taking a bunch of pictures. All of a sudden he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him! It was the most beautiful day that I will never forget!
Our overall wedding theme was simple and romantic. We had a lot of candles, which helped set the mood. We wanted a few flowers but really wanted to focus on having fun and great food! We incorporated the bridesmaid dress color, cranberry, into the flowers, centerpieces and other decor.
My favorite memory of our wedding day was wearing my mother's dress that she and my dad renewed their wedding vows in for the ceremony. She passed away about 8 years ago so it meant the world to me to have a piece of her while walking down the aisle with my dad.
I bought my reception dress at Wedding Angels and it was absolutely perfect. It was exactly what I was looking for! I was looking for a very simple, romantic and lace with no beading and that dress was it. It was all about the lace; that's what drew me to the dress!
The gown, the dresses, the menswear - everything. The ladies at Wedding Angels were amazing. Wedding Angels was recommended to me by an old co-worker of mine and after I walked in the door I knew this was the place I would find my dress. Leslie is awesome! She listened to what I wanted and pulled some amazing dresses for me including my dress. My big thing was I didn't want any beads just very soft lace.
We found it and we were able to find my bridesmaid dresses the same day. Wedding Angels was amazing when it came to getting some alterations done on my mom's dress. My husband and I also decided to get the menswear there so everything was at one place! Leslie was able to help us create a very unique look for our guys and it was picture perfect. Shane was in a black suit with a grey shirt & grey vest and the groomsmen wore a black suit with a black shirt and grey vest. I'm so thankful I was told about Wedding Angels.
