Real Bride Spotlight: Abigail

Abigail and Bryson were married on October 21, 2017, at Sweet Meadow Farms in Tallapoosa, Georgia. Read more about Abigail and Bryson’s love story and picture-perfect wedding day.
Before we met, Bryson knew my family. He graduated with one of my brothers, and played football with my other brother. My mom worked at the school so also knew him well, and loved him. A few years after we had both graduated from high school, we ended up back at the same high-school football game. Bryston came to sit with my family, and that’s when we met! We got engaged on June 5, 2016 in the Bahamas. We were on a family cruise, and Bryson popped the question on a beautiful little private beach with my entire family. It was so perfect.

The vibe I was going for on our wedding day was very earthy/natural fall. My colors were neutral tones with accents of burgundy and navy. All of the florals were earthy and boho.

My favorite memory of my wedding day was Bryson’s vows to me. There were so many wonderful moments from that day that I treasure in my heart, but none can top that moment. Our wedding ceremony was very sacred and Holy to me, and Bryson’s vows and promises to commit his life to me had me (and everyone else) in tears.

My absolute favorite part of my dress was the bottom! I went in wanting something completely different, but I was so drawn to my dress because of how fun it was. When I spotted it, I thought “surely this is going to be way over my budget” because of how detailed it was, but thank GOD it wasn’t! It really showed my personality, and I am seriously obsessed with it!

From the time I stepped into the doors at Wedding Angels, to now, I have been treated like a queen. Everyone I have come into contact with (including Pearl, Jacquie’s French bulldog) has been a doll to me. Alicia even went so far as to drive to Buckhead to hand deliver my veil to me the week before my wedding because we forgot to pick it up when we picked up my wedding dress!

Real Bride Spotlight: Mae Linda

Mae Linda and Dan were married on September 23, 2017 in Cancun, Mexico at the Excellence Riviera Cancun Resort. Read more about Mae Linda and Dan’s sweet love story and amazing wedding day.

With the help of his son, Dan proposed to me after we celebrated our 2-year anniversary dinner at home.  I was really looking forward to having this dinner because we didn’t get to celebrate our real 2-year anniversary date, which was in January. He had me close my eyes, while he and his son got my ‘gift from the garage’, which was actually just a distraction. My initial thought was that my gift was heavy and big since Dan needed help holding the box. Then, Dan, had me open my eyes, and the first thing I saw was Dan down on one knee. It felt so surreal. He had the ring box opened, and asked ‘Will you marry me?’  I was truly surprised and shocked! Of course, I replied, ‘Yes, yes, yes!’   There was no big and heavy box at all! Just a small box ring! Great things do come in small packages!  I called my mom and sister that evening and we celebrated with champagne and chocolate. It was perfect.

We both love the ocean, so choosing a destination wedding and getting married on the beach was an absolute dream come true.  Exchanging vows by the ocean while being surrounded by our friends and family was very special for us. We got married on the beach at the pier right before sunset. I had a nontraditional,  ‘all white wedding’, where the entire bridal party and guests wore mostly white. The bridesmaids all wore different styles of dresses. The white and tan attire really complemented the sand and ocean.  It was a simple and casual beach wedding.

One of my favorite memories of my wedding day was having my best friend walk me down the aisle. My father passed away so my best friend gave me away.  Sharing my day with my best friend in that very moment was so special to me.  He had always been my by side, and that day was no exception. We both couldn’t believe that the day had finally come!

I also love thinking back on seeing my family and friends on the dance floor. Everyone showed off their best dance moves, from getting low on the floor to ‘Low’ to playing air guitars during ‘Don’t Stop Believin’.  Seeing the dance floor filled with our loved ones in white attire and white sunglasses (our wedding favor)  was a memory that we will never forget!   Our last song of the night was ‘Glad You Came.’ These lyrics stood out to us, “My universe will never the be same. I’m glad you came! So glad you came.” Our universe has changed, now that we are husband and wife, and we were so humbled that our guests shared in our special day. We continued humming this song during the duration of our stay in Mexico!

My favorite part of the dress was the bodice – the detail of the beading, lattice, lace and sweetheart neckline.  What drew me to it was the silhouette of the dress.  I loved the fitted detailed bodice with the fullness of the tulle and organza with the horsehair finish. Not to mention, the train was absolutely stunning.   Once I put it on, it made me feel like I was a mermaid! It was suiting because I was getting married on the beach! I had to have it!  I didn’t think I wanted a veil, but decided at the last minute that I’d wear it on the big day.  I’m glad that I did because the lace veil complemented my dress so beautifully.

Jacqueline was my consultant and she was MAGNIFICENT! I visited other bridal dress stores, and had not been as impressed by their service or selection. I was absolutely blown away by the level of attention and excellent customer service I received at Wedding Angels. The experience that I had was superb and I was treated like a VIP customer.  I knew I would say ‘Yes, to the dress’ here. Initially, I wanted a simple lace gown that would be ideal for a beach wedding.  While I liked the dress that I chose,  Jacqueline encouraged me to try on a different style. She selected a dress that I would’ve never picked out for myself. She was RIGHT! I fell in love with it!

Real Bride Spotlight: Marissa

When brides come in with a vision, we make it happen. Marissa fell in love with two dresses, so we worked with her to create the perfect look with the best of each of the dresses she found. Read her story below.

Tell us about your love story.  I call our story “Joe & Marissa~The Love Story of East Meets West.” The story about us is that Joe moved from San Diego, California to Atlanta, Georgia in March of 2014 when he accepted a corporate promotion from Cox Communications.  Born and raised in Los Angeles, Joe knew he would have to start a new life on the East Coast, but also hoped he would meet the woman who would become the love of his life.  And he did.  With some patience and knowing the right woman would come along when it was meant to be, Joe met Marissa.  Finally, on the beautiful evening of October 2nd, Joe and Marissa met and their love story began at an Atlanta restaurant called “1kept”.  Marissa immediately knew that Joe was the right man for her and she truly hoped that Joe felt she was the right woman for him.  Marissa’s hope became a reality when Joe called for a second date, a third, a fourth.  It didn’t take long before they were inseparable and on Memorial Day weekend the following year,  Joe asked Marissa to be his partner-for-life by becoming his bride in Marissa’s favorite spot, Rosemary Beach, Florida.  Joe and Marissa are avid travelers and had a whirlwind honeymoon planned to Paris, Mauritius and Seychelles but first, a magnificent wedding in sunny San Diego!

What was your wedding vision? The aesthetic I wanted for our wedding was a beautiful Spring color palette but while not making any specific color the primary color and showcasing beautiful pale yellows, pinks and peaches and lots of beautiful lush creme shades. Details like blush colored glassware and gold accent touches graced the entire wedding day. Since my Father passed away a few years ago, I have found perfect white feathers in my path on a regular basis so I incorporated small touches of gold feathers in the wedding, like in our gorgeous feather wedding favors so in different points of the day, I saw the feathers in the decor and felt that my dad was with me in spirit. We had flowing beautiful creme striped linens as if you felt like you were celebrating at a styled garden party, light, airy and romantic.

What is your favorite memory from your wedding day? I have two favorite moments – one was in the suites at The Westgate Hotel when our best man and matron of honor exchanged the journals Joe and I wrote to each other and then when the beautiful doors of the Immaculata Catholic church opened and I saw Joe at the end of the aisle – I had the biggest smile on my face of pure love and joy, I will never forget the emotion that I was overcome with.

What was your favorite part of your dress, or what drew you to it? I said yes to the dress on the first day when I went to shop for my gown. I put on the Halo gown first, I fell in love with the lace top – it was so unique and uncommon – nothing like I had ever seen before. I always dreamed of a huge skirt and when I tried on the London dress, I knew that was the skirt. After a long debate I ended up buying two gowns and blended my favorite things of both into one magnificent custom gown – the Halo top with the London skirt! We also purchased additional Halo bodice gown lace and Wedding Angels made me a custom bolero that is something I will wear in the future and absolutely love! I also adorned the matching veil.

Real Bride Spotlight: Chesley

We always encourage brides to try on a variety of styles and shapes – even if they think they know exactly what they want from photos they’ve seen online. Seeing different gowns on your body can you help identify what you love and don’t love about specific shapes and often times, brides are surprised to fall in love with a style they didn’t expect!

Chesley came in with no plan to try on ballgowns but fell in love with a ball gown bodice she couldn’t resist. Read her wedding story below!

Tell us about your love story. Where did you meet and when did you get engaged? Justin and I met at Little River Elementary School where we are both teachers. Justin teaches special ed and I teach 2nd grade.  When Justin first came to Little River, I thought he was cute but didn’t want to date someone I worked with. A mutual friend at work was sure we were a perfect fit and kind of pushed us into getting to know one another. Her husband, a firefighter, ended up marrying us.  We got engaged on October 22nd, two days after our anniversary, in Helen under a gazebo overlooking downtown.  Justin surprised me by having my family walk up just as I said yes!

When and where did you get married? We got married at Cold Creek Farm on 9/17/17, which happens to be Justin’s parents’ anniversary.

What is your favorite memory of your wedding day? My favorite memory from the wedding day was my first dance with my husband. We had put so much time and effort into the weekend it was as nice to have a moment where all eyes were on us. I wasn’t even nervous. I was just so happy we had made it to that point. Seeing our friends and family so happy for us was just wonderful.

What drew you to your dress? When I came into the store, I firmly told Ellen I would NOT be trying on any ball gowns.  She sweetly encouraged me to try on dresses of all shapes and reminded me that essentially any ball gown could be turned into an A-line dress with alterations. I fell in love with the bodice of this dress. I ended up losing 15 pounds before the wedding, but I wasn’t in my best shape going into dress shopping. This dress made me feel beautiful. I loved the way it accentuated my collar bones. It was just so feminine and pretty.  It was actually the first dress I put on and while every dress was beautiful, none compared to this!

3 Reasons You’ll Never Regret Wearing A Veil on Your Wedding Day

1. VEILS MAKE FOR BEAUTIFUL PHOTOS.

Just think “Pinterest-worthy” photos!  Hello!  Veils can absolutely MAKE the wedding photos.  From “Getting ready pics” to boudoir photos, from your bridal portraits, there’s so much more you can do with wedding photos when a veil is involved!

2. ONLY BRIDES WEAR WEDDING VEILS.

Wearing a veil a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! Its sole purpose is to turn you from a woman in a pretty white dress into a bride.

3. VEILS CAN BECOME A FAMILY HEIRLOOM.

Veils can become a very important family keepsake to be shared with friends or relatives as they become brides.  When properly cared for, veils can be stored for years without damage. If you leave your wedding dress to your daughter, granddaughter, niece, daughter-in-law, or anyone else, they might think it’s outdated, or maybe it won’t fit them. But veils are often timeless, and one-size-fits-all.

Friendly reminder from your Wedding Angels: Veils can sometimes take several months to be made for you, so we shouldn’t wait for your gown to arrive before we order your veil. We want you to have the best selection, without limitations for delivery time, so please come in to try on your gown and select your accessories.

Real Bride Spotlight: Andrea

Whether you have ten Pinterest boards full of gown ideas, a dozen magazine clippings, or no style preference at all, it always come down to how you feel when you’re in a gown to know if it’s the perfect one for your dream wedding.

Andrea had no idea what she wanted going into her appointment, but left with a beautiful gown! Andrea and Tyler were married on August 27, 2016 at Foxhall Resort and Sporting Club at Legacy Lookout, Andrea wearing a stunning Ellis of London gown.

I had absolutely zero idea what type of gown I wanted! Tyler completely shocked me with the proposal so my Pinterest board was only in the toddler stages of development when I started looking for a gown.

Wedding Angels was the first place I tried on dresses. I had a lot of friends that had purchased their dress from Wedding Angels and I wanted to trust that my first wedding dress experience would be a positive one and not stressful or traumatic. I booked the appointment having complete faith that I’d leave happy even if I didn’t find a dress.

I worked with Catherine who has several years of experience in the wedding industry. She was warm yet also down to earth, so I felt like I could be completely honest with her about each dress.

From my stylist’s suggestion, I tried on a variety of styles so I could narrow down what I liked, which was very helpful. I quickly learned the Cinderella ballgown was not a right fit for my body but it was so fun to try on!

I never once felt rushed or pressured to decide on a dress at Wedding Angels, which I was worried about before starting the shopping experience. There were plenty of options within my price range and there was a large variety of each style!

I was drawn to my gown by the way it made me feel! I immediately felt my body become more confident and my smile was a mile wide. I picked the dress based off the way I felt in that moment – sexy, bridal, feminine and like one of a kind!

There were so many perfect moments of our wedding day it’s hard to pick just one. One of my favorites moments was when my soon-to-be husband saw me walk down the aisle and started crying, and when I heard him recite his vows to me and it all became real. We’ll also never forget when we first tasted the mac-and-cheese and realized how amazing it was. But better than the mac-and-cheese may have been when my new husband danced to Ginuwine’s Pony song –  my mouth stayed open in shock the entire time. Another favorite part of the evening was when our chauffeur got lost after the reception and we had to get out of the car in the pitch black to direct him out of the woods! Every moment that day with my husband was my favorite. How cheesy! 🙂

A Dream Wedding for Bride Battling Cancer

Loyall Hart0004

As you know, planning a wedding can be an exciting yet stressful time for a bride. But while most couples are choosing vendors, discussing finances and scheduling consultations, one special bride is facing very different challenges during her engagement. She was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Back in January, bride Dede wrote in to The Bert Show about her experience planning a wedding while fighting breast cancer. The Bert Show sprang into action, asking listeners to help in any way they could – and oh, how the Atlanta wedding industry professionals came through!

Bert Show

Dede with her wedding planner and the cast of The Bert Show

Listeners called in providing support and encouragement, while several vendors responded offering to donate their services to relieve some of the stress and give Dede and her fiancé Stephen the wedding they’ve always dreamed of.

Between (and even during) chemo appointments, Dede and her team of vendors have come together to plan her perfect wedding.

Wedding Angels has been honored to provide Dede bridesmaids gowns, a mother-of-the-bride gown, tuxedo rentals and flower girl dress. Not to mention, the gorgeous gown she wore in her breathtaking engagement photos:

Exciting News!

I love paper.  I’m obsessed with paper.  No seriously – it’s a bit of an issue for me.  I have three drawers in my office filled with stationery.  I ordered my children’s monogrammed stationery while they were still IN UTERO!  No, I’m not joking!  What else was I supposed to write baby shower thank you notes on?  Just keeping it classy, folks!

IMG_3482b

Stationery is my signature gift for every occasion – Christmas gifts for my parents and in-laws!  Housewarming gift!  Check out some of the custom fold-over note cards I designed and printed for my family last year.  Now tell me that doesn’t score more extra credit points with the mother-in-law than a TJ Maxx gift card!!!

Gift

I start working on our family Christmas card in August.  Seriously.  I live for the outfit selection, the photoshoot inspiration, and especially the card layout and wording (which I craft myself and change every year!).  I don’t so much look forward to the photoshoot itself-because let’s be real, photographing 3 boys under six is nobody’s idea of fun.  Even if you do have several Mimosa’s before the photographer shows up.  Anyway, I digress…

Christmas

And should we talk about parties? Showers? Bridesmaids’ Brunches? Open Houses at Wedding Angels?  Yes, I love to cook and entertain in our home.  But I may or may not have hosted certain events JUST because I needed an excuse to design the absolute most lovely and beautiful invitation.

I think I have saved every invitation and announcement ever sent to me since I moved out of my parents’ house and finally started receiving things addressed to my independent self.  Every once in a while my hubby works up the nerve to try one more time to convince me to purge some of these trinkets.  It NEVER works!!!  I just can’t part with what is often my “opening memory” of a favorite event that we have attended.

Box

Yes – there are probably self-help books and support groups for people with my affliction.  But instead of going the “I need help for this obsession” route, I decided to just up the ante.  It’s a natural next step.  Drumroll please…..Wedding Angels Bridal Boutique will now offer INVITATIONS & STATIONERY!!!!!  I will be handling all of the consultations, design, and production myself.  We have everything from industry classics like Carlson Craft and Checkerboard, to complete custom capability with local production and designs by your’s truly!  I can’t wait to share my passion for all things paper with our brides, and help them put the personal touch on their guests’ first impression of their highly anticipated wedding events.

Consultation

I can’t wait to welcome you in our newly outfitted Stationery Suite.  Come join me for a glass of champagne and let’s talk about how to start your event off on the right foot!

Cheers!

Designer Hayley Paige is Married!

It’s easy to see why Hayley Paige is one of our favorite wedding dress designers. With each new collection, she wows us with her combination of femininity, fun and fearlessness. From sweet and simple to extravagant and opulent, there is a style for every brides’ personality. So how does a designer with such a flair for unexpected elegance decide on a single style for her own wedding day? We’re glad you asked.

Back in September, the bride-to-be told The Knot about her plans for her wedding day look: The only thing I can say is that it will be over-the-top. I am an “of the moment bride” so it’ll definitely be on-trend. The biggest challenge is that I change my mind and move on from styles rather quickly.

And, oh, she did not disappoint. The daring designer went all out with three different gowns for her 7/11 nuptials, combining all things romantic, whimsical and haute. Incorporating trends from floral applique and hints of color to headpieces and crop-tops, the bride’s styles were everything. Read more ›

Real Bride Spotlight: Emma

Emma and Will were married in March 2015 at St. Thomas More Church in Decatur followed by the reception at the Piedmont Garden Tent overlooking Piedmont Park.
IMG_5261.JPG
My favorite part was when the party kicked off at the reception. After the big dances (our first dance, father-daughter, mother-son) our DJ played “Come on Eileen” and the floor filled with our family and closest friends. Everyone was having a blast and showing off their best moves and it was great to have everyone there to truly celebrate with us! And the fact that they were all in on enjoying every minute of it just made me so happy.
IMG_9228
I knew that I wanted an illusion neckline. Originally, I thought that I wanted an A-line dress, but once I got into one in the shop I knew that it wasn’t quite right. I was surprised when I tried on the Mikaella gown with illusion neckline at how perfect it was. It made me feel beautiful and bridal. And it was surprisingly lightweight: which I am now so thankful for after spending 12+ hours in it.

Finding the Perfect Gown

Some girls dream endlessly about trying on wedding gowns. They can’t wait to assemble a tremendous entourage of Kleenex toting bridesmaids, the moms holding up ranking signs and voting on their favorite gowns. They envision that moment over and over- contently admiring their own reflection and everyone wiping tears away when they finally “say yes to THE dress.” I was so not that girl.

theWILLETTS_WEDDING_ANGELS-0120-Edit-Edit

Day in and day out, I’m clad head to toe in black- sometimes with sparkles, or the occasional stripe, but always the same refrain-black, black, black. Background info: I got my wedding gown at Wedding Angels before I got out of corporate America and bought the whole boutique. Ok, back to the story. When it was time to try on bridal gowns, I pretty much broke out in hives at the thought of taking off my “ninja uniform” and donning a white garment across my built-for-childbirthin’-hips. Add to that the fact that I was a solid size 14/16 at the time, and I would have to try on said white garments in a public place…I was pretty much needing to be medicated.

When I called to make appointments, I was horrified to hear that samples sizes were mostly 8s and 10s, and that bridal sizes run smaller than regular clothing. I haven’t had my hind parts in a size 10 since 5th grade. You think I’m joking- I wish I was. So, while so many girls are counting the seconds until they slip into their first wedding gown, I was constantly replaying in my head the million anxiety ridden, flushed face, cold sweat scenarios that have unfolded when I’ve had my “swimmers shoulders” stuck in an off-the-rack Easter dress in an Ann Taylor fitting room.

This story, though, does have a happy ending. I was lucky enough to have Karin, who is still our manager to this day, as my consultant at Wedding Angels. She put me at ease immediately, as she has done for hundreds of brides over the years. Karin miraculously found a handful of gowns that were likely to flatter me. But, all we could do was pull them over my head or hold them up in front of me to “imagine” how they would look in my size. Wow. Just what I wanted to do- imagine how I would eventually look in a dress that I was planning to wear in front of 250 people on the most highly-photographed day of my life. Perfect. Thanks.

Anyway, Karin was incredibly encouraging and I clicked with her immediately, so I kept a good sense of humor about the whole process. Plus, with her help, I’m happy to report I was able to avoid getting stuck in any of the gowns. We found a size 14 sample by Jasmine Couture, and I finally got it on my body without the maneuvers qualifying as cardio. Of course, it didn’t zip by a mile, because remember, bridal runs small. Ugh.

Anyway, Karin worked her magic, clipping the dress on me, adding a sash, and customizing a halter neckline to flatter those swimmers shoulders I mentioned before. She was my fairy godmother- and it helped a lot that she’s no size 2 either. My gown was amazing, and all these year later when I work with thousands of bridal gowns a year, I couldn’t imagine a more perfect dress for me. Read more ›

Military Bride Plans Wedding from Afghanistan

One of our favorite military brides, Brittany, has checked a few more things off of her wedding planning to-do list. This is always exciting for a bride-to-be, but especially since much of Brittany’s wedding planning has taken place while she is deployed in Afghanistan!

Engaged only about six weeks before she left for deployment, Brittany and fiancé Michael wasted no time planning for their big day scheduled less than a year away.

Brittany and Michael

“From the date of our engagement to when I was leaving for deployment, I had a little less than two months to do any planning. I wanted three things done before I left for Afghanistan: 1) Find a venue; 2) Pick a date; and 3) Pick out my dress.

I figured all of the other stuff could wait, but these things needed to be done for the planning to begin. Michael and I both knew we did not want a long, drawn out engagement – we are excited to make it official!

We started with the venue. The FIRST place we looked at was Primrose Cottage in Roswell, and I fell in love. I really wanted a place to be able to have the ceremony and reception together. We made it work and picked a date based on availability (and maybe a little around college football season!)

Luckily, the dress part was a breeze. Jacquie at Wedding Angels is soon-to-be family for me and has the most adorable and awesome bridal boutique. She has helped me out tremendously and knows her stuff, for sure. She is good at what she does. I tried on dresses one week before I left for my deployment. I found “the one” within an hour, and cannot wait to get back home to see it on again!”

The bride-to-be even helped her bridesmaids and mom pick out their gowns from Wedding Angels while she was in Afghanistan. Thanks to Facetime, she was able to give her input and help them find just the right looks for her big day. Still, she has to delegate certain tasks and to-dos to get everything done in time.

“I have had to rely heavily on my sister, my maid of honor, my bridesmaids and my mom a lot to help me. Thank goodness for the internet because I do not know how I would have done this during my deployment. Michael has helped a lot too, but he has also started a new job while I have been gone, so needless to say, it has been HECTIC. Facetime has been a lifesaver!

Hotel blocks are now about to be booked. The next step is a meeting with a wedding planner, about 3 weeks after I get back home.”

We know that with the help of friends, family and talented Atlanta wedding professionals, everything will go perfectly.

Wedding Angels Salutes Upcoming Military Wedding

It’s no secret that at Wedding Angels Bridal Boutique, we love our military brides and grooms! The everyday heroes of the United States Armed Forces hold a special place in our hearts thanks to their selfless sacrifices and commitment to our country. Between deployments, long-distance relationships, financial struggles and other challenges unique to servicemen and women, wedding planning can be especially stressful and difficult.

To express our gratitude for these dedicated men and women, we are honored to feature a special military couple as they plan their big day. Though the bride is currently deployed in Afghanistan and the groom is stateside, they are finding ways to plan the wedding of their dreams and become closer than ever.

Meet Brittany and Michael…

Brittany and Michael

Brittany is a Captain and a Flight Nurse with the 94th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron at Dobbins Air Reserve Base, and Michael is currently a 1st Lieutenant (promoting to Captain just after their wedding in October) and a C-130 Pilot at the 700th Airlift Squadron at Dobbins Air Reserve Base. Brittany is quick to lovingly point out that she does, in fact, outrank her fiancé!

They met while they were both stationed at Dobbins Air Reserve Base in Marietta, GA. A chance encounter at Old Vinings Inn quickly turned into a long-distance relationship as Michael left for pilot training just three months into dating. They made it work, despite nearly two and a half years of seeing each other only every five weeks.

Just a few days before they had been officially dating for exactly three years, they took an impromptu trip to Chateau Elan for Michael’s birthday celebration. In the vineyard at sunset, Michael caught Brittany by surprise and asked her to spend the rest of their lives together. She, of course, said yes!

Brittany and Michael

Now, as they plan their October wedding at Primrose Cottage in Roswell, GA, we’ll be following their progress. The catch? Michael is here in Atlanta while Brittany is deployed in Afghanistan.

Wait until you see how this dream day is coming together despite the distance! Stay tuned…

Real Bride Spotlight: Haley

It’s always gratifying to help a bride choose the dress she’ll wear on the happiest day of her life, but it’s particularly exciting when we dress not only the bride, but her mother and bridesmaids, too! And that’s exactly what we had the pleasure of doing with bride Haley for her picture-perfect Spring wedding at Naylor Hall in Roswell.

Wedding dress: Jasmine Bridal

Mother’s dress: Jade Couture

Bridesmaids: Jade

What was your favorite part about planning your wedding day? My favorite part about the wedding planning was adding all the elements of surprise for the wedding day. For example, no one but my mom saw my dress. I deleted all pictures from my phone and camera. Everyone constantly asked trying to get some sort of idea, but both my mom and I kept our lips sealed. There were other surprises that day, including our  first dance song, our party favors, and my “bedazzled” shoes. We had planned for a whole year for our special day, so it was nice on that day to still have little surprises to look forward to!

How did you end up choosing your wedding gown, bridesmaids dresses and Mother of the Bride dress?
I chose my bridesmaid dresses and my mom’s dress from Wedding Angels Bridal Boutique because it was the obvious choice! Wedding Angels was the first and only place I went to look for my dress. Everyone at the store treated you like it was “your” day and you were the only one in the store. They have hundreds of girls come through that store, yet each time you walk in there, they treat you like a V.I.P. My experience of getting my dress made it an easy decision that I was going to get everything at one store. Wedding Angels has a great selection of bridesmaid dresses at every price point. I wanted to make sure my bridesmaids did not pay too much for their dresses, so I let them choose out of four choices. Allowing them a choice made me feel comfortable that each of the girls was okay with the dress and the price. As for my mom’s dress, the store was always having a trunk show so my mom  went a couple of times to the store to decide on her dress. Karin was wonderful by encouraging my mom to choose a dress that was a little out of her element but looked wonderful on her. Wedding Angels was even kind enough to mail swatches of the bridesmaid dress and my mom’s dress which was very useful for flowers, shoes, and jewelry.

Any advice for future brides? It’s simple – Get everything from Wedding Angels. It is so nice to have everything in one place! I purchased my dress, veil, my jewelry, bridesmaid dresses, and mother of bride dress at Wedding Angels. The store will always have a special place in our wedding story. They aren’t just another wedding store in the Atlanta area, because  each of the ladies enjoy coming to work to help brides pick the most important dress of their lives. They don’t sell dresses, they help you choose a dress. Not once did I ever feel like I was getting “sold” a dress. It was my decision to get everything at the store and it was the best decision made. Wedding planning is stressful, but having all your dresses purchased at one store will be one less stress.
